Why do I get this really productive, happy, and organized mood every so often?

Posted By: admin  //  Category: how to get organized

I’m not complaining, if I was like this every day, I would be a straight A student. lol

This rarely happens to me though, maybe like two or three times a year.

Any particular reason that causes certain moods?

everything around you can effect your mood including;
1.)how much sleep you got
2.)what you’ve eaten that day (your muscles burn fat and sugar to create energy. fat is the fuel but fat can’t burn very well without sugar so if you don’t have enough you burn fat slow and feel real sluggish also if you drink caffeine it makes sugar burn faster and you waste all your sugar)

3.)relationship(friends/family/lover)
4.)weight
5.)etc.

How do I organize a pet show to benefit the local animal shelter?

Posted By: admin  //  Category: organize it

Our town tried to organize a pet show with only ribbons as prizes and no publicity or sponsors. It was a flop. I would like to help next year and do a better job. It needs sponsors and prizes and advertising. Help?

For years I volunteered for a charity that held a silent auction followed by dinner, then a live auction.

This is a great cause! The first thing I suggest you look into is http://www.jooners.com/ – a free web app that is great for coordinating all kinds of things. They even have an event category.

Here, the animal shelter is a pet project of the city. I’m not sure if you are in a familiar situation. I would find the person in charge of coordinating events for the city (here it would be the community relations board) and ask if they could provide any assistance. I would go with some suggestions in my pocket, but wouldn’t bring them up until I got their input. Sometimes when you make specific requests, you may get them answered and no more. If you leave it open ended, you will be surprised just how many ideas they will come up with that you had not thought of. Then contact them later with your pocket requests if you want. Also think of arenas, civic centers, and other locations in your area where events are often held. The Parks & Rec Department? Get in touch with the Coordinators there and ask the same open ended question.

Does the shelter have contacts with Rescues? See if you can contact them and ask for their suggestions.

Contact the community relations officers at the largest employers in your area and large chain stores. They are use to requests from charities and usually have specific procedures in place to make offers or to determine if your cause is eligible for assistance. Ask to speak directly to the manager.

Contact other volunteers of the animal shelter and ask if they know any companies that would be willing to contribute in any way. Make sure that when you get other people involved that you know who they are going to ask before they ask. Otherwise, you will have duplicate people going to the same sources.

Contact local restaurants. Contact local printers – they may agree to donating or low cost printing of fliers, banners, or the like.

Contact the local newspapers – they often have someone who will work with service organizations on PR possibilities for free or almost free.

That is all I can think of off of the top of my head. I think if you contact these people you will be truly surprised at just how many prize donations and how much PR assistance you will receive. And if you end up with too many prizes or prizes that do not make sense for use to participants, have door prizes and use that as PR to increase spectator attendance.

Oh, and if you want to have a step in for the following year, recruit volunteers to hand write thank you cards to everyone who gave assistance.

I hope this helps.

What are some ways to keep organized in your home?

Posted By: admin  //  Category: get organized

I am in town for the week and am overwhelmed by all of my parents stuff in the house. They don’t have much room in their small house to store things, so I am trying to find a good solution. One of the main things they have collected is mail, and lots of it. Bills and things they don’t want to throw away. All of their toys for their grandchildren are out too. Plus lots of other things. Just curious on any ideas on how to get them better organized and clean this mess?

It sounds like they hang onto more paper than they need to. Start by putting a basket in their landing spot (area where they drop everything when they walk in the door). Junk mail and papers can immediately go into this basket and then taken to the recycling center when it is full. If they want to hang on to their remittance slips after they pay their bills you could set up an accordian file so that each bill has its own slot and they can keep those slips in there. You can create them a bill paying center out of a basket. All the bills to be paid goes in the basket and then once they are paid the slips go into the accordian file.

The toys can be stored in big rubbermaid bins. Create an area in the living room, family room or where ever they play and put the plastic bins in the corner. Have them teach the grandchildren to put the toys back into the bins before they leave their home.

If there is alot of other paper you can create a filing system in a filing cabinet or purchase items like a 3 drawer Sterlite plastic bin (purchased at Walmart). Label the outside of the drawer or the file so they know exactly where the filed paper should go.

Not to be morbid, but remember one day it will be your task to clean out your parents home when they pass away. It is best now to get them organized while they are alive so that you know what is important and what is not. A good decluttering of their home today will save you the headache on down the road.

Good luck!

How do I organize and clean my house with 2 kids?

Posted By: admin  //  Category: how to organize

I have a 1000 square feet. Which isn’t very big but it is so cluttered. How do I clean and organize my house? How do I get my kids to help? I have a 2 year old and a 1 year old and they destroy the house. We can usually get one room started and then they mess it up. How do I get them to clean their room so there won’t be toys everywhere? Plz help. I am desperate.

Hi Candy,

It is very good that you want to teach your children to clean up after themselves, and this is something that should be started at a very young age. What you have to be sure of, though, is that the chores you assign to your children are age-appropriate.

At 1 and 2 years old, they are still young enough that they would not be able to complete chores on their own. This does not mean that they should not have chores. It just means that you will have to help them, for now.

As they get older, their chores should change with their age. They should also become more and more responsible for completing their chores independently. Just be sure to always keep their chores age-appropriate.

To help yourself in helping your children it really is in your best interest to declutter your home as much as possible – and that does include your children’s toys.

A very important rule when it come to clutter is that you are only allowed to have as much stuff as you have the space for. If you only have a 1,000 square foot home, you are going to have to be very particular about what you allow to come into your home – especially now, while your children are still young and don’t realize that they may have less than other kids.

Even after you declutter and purge, limit the number of toys that you take out every day. If your kids have fewer toys within their reach, they will make less of a mess and it will be easier for everyone to clean up at the end of the day.

Rotate the toys that you take out each day to keep your kids interested and stimulated – so they are not playing with the same things over and over and getting bored.

For you to be able to keep the rest of the house clean, find an activity that grabs your kids’ attention – like a movie they love to watch, and allow them to enjoy that activity for up to one hour each day so that you can have some (relatively) uninterrupted time to get your household chores done.

Remember – the less "stuff" you have, the less "stuff" you will have to clean up!

How We Can Get the Attention of United Nations to Human Rights Violations In Toronto, Canada?

Canadian are known to the people of the World as the most dishonest Nations…they do cheat in everything…Just look to the World games records and see how many times Canadian players have been arrasted and disqualfied for cheating…ALL of us recalling Ben Johnson cheating in Germany 1998!…

The other types of Canadian Cheatings that I find by reseach in the Intermet are: trespass of Banks’ Data in such that the Govermnet stolen founds from the acounts:

How do you organize your hosiery drawer?

Posted By: admin  //  Category: organize it

I’m looking for ideas on how to organize your hosiery & lingerie drawers?

Pictures would be great!

Marcy
Can you email me some pictures?

A cheap and effective solution insead of those expensive drawer dividers is to use tension rods. I have one that runs across the front of my drawer and I use this section to put all my rolled socks (you could also roll pantyhose) neatly lined across the front of my drawer. On the left behind my socks I have all my bras folded in half and lined semi-stacked across the drawer. On the right I have my stacks of panties (all folded the exact same way). You could even use more than one tension rod and divide each section from front to back instead. This was just the best way for me to organize my own. You can get tension rods when the window curtain rods are (just make sure you measure your drawer first). Mine cost me under $3.

WARNING: When you are done, you won’t be able to walk by without opening your drawer to marvel at the beauty.

How do you find out if a professor is organized before registering for their class?

Posted By: admin  //  Category: get organized

I’ve discovered that whenever I have a professor who does not have his stuff together (papers all over the place, no syllabus, complete disorganization, always tardy), that I never learn anything from him. So now I think teachers who are well organized are the best. What would be the best way to discover whether or not a teacher is organized before I register for their class?

Use rate my professor you get at the very least brutally honest reviews of the class.

Also just ask around you know people who have had him and such.

What is the best way to organize my music files?

Posted By: admin  //  Category: how to organize

I’m not necessarily looking for a program to organize my files for me. I just need to know what things (like genre, year, album) i should at to the file information.

If you know any programs that do organize your music or any programs that you can use to make smart play lists, please include them!

As kwazyliloboy says, a very easy way is to use iTunes

choose iTunes music folder to be the same as the folder where you hold all your songs, and check the option (keep iTunes Music Folder organized).

This way, iTunes will automatically organize all your songs into their albums. (and create album folders for loose songs)

Then, in the iTunes library, each album will automatically be labelled into a specific (not always correct) music category. Also you can filter the iTunes library view to lots of different criteria, such as alphabetically ordered music name, genre, albums and artists; song bitrate and duration and more, all this whithout having to change your music files. You can also automatically download album artwork for the albums where it’s missing (you have to get an itunes store account to do this though).
